Significance
Mu’allaq Mosque is one of the important monuments of Ottoman Tripoli. The mosque gets its name because of its unusual position of being hanged on a narrow street.

State of Preservation
Commissioned by the Ottoman governor of the City and built in 1556, this mosque has an octagonal minaret with two black stone stripes and two upper balconies.
The prayer hall unusually stretches across the street, with bustling shoppers passing underneath.
