Significance
This mosque, constructed by Bayezid I, is one of the most important examples of a hypostyle stucture repeating smaller units to obtain a large space, thus a prominent representitive of early Ottoman architecture.

State of Preservation
The mosque was damaged in the 1855 earthquake when all Bursa’s minarets had to be rebuilt. It is in a good state of preservation now.
