Significance
The mosque represents a unique example of the Classical Ottoman mosque architecture with perfect structural concept and use of technology of its time, composition of volumes, proportion of all elements and valuable details. Project was realized by the office of the greatest architect of the Ottoman State Architect Sinan. In the painting decoration, the mosque has evidence of a particular regional manner. The building is part of the ensemble together with madrasa, shadervan and cemetery.

State of Preservation
Karadjozbeg mosque is in very good condition after the restoration/reconstruction of minaret. Second porch and smaller restoration intervention on the exterior of the building have been completed in 2003, rehabilitation of the courtyard and shadrvan were completed in June 2004, and works on the interior-restoration of the paintings were completed in December 2004.
